My personal planner

Tuesday 26 March 2013

I recently won a blog give-away competition from one of my favourite blogs "Modern Girls in Vintage Pearls" it consisted of receiving a gift voucher to make a personal planner on a Australian based company "Personal-Planner"I literally had the best time designing and personalising my planner to meet my specific needs and reflect my personal style.

Firstly you start by choosing the size of the planner which consist of small (11 x 14cm), medium (16 x 14cm), Large (22 x 14cm) and A5 (16 x 21cm). You then move on to the design of your personalised planner selecting the front and back cover photos, the placement of the text on the cover, the colour of the text, the elastic closure and the start month and year of your planner.

Once you have completed this you move onto the inlay design - Consisting of how you want the writing space to be placed, daily details, personal dates and the design theme spread. There is 3 modules which are placed underneath the writing space this is where you can select certain modules that best fit into your lifestyle. As it is a personal planner you can even choose the last pages and what you would like to have placed upon them ranging from something for everyone you can select a 2013 and 2014 overview to more specific items regarding your interest such as for the musician sheet music, blank pages for the artist within or even a colouring book or for the person with true wanderlust maps of the world.  It even lets you write your own little info page containing your name, phone number, email address, home address or whatever you wish.

My information page that I personalised with my details incase my planner goes missing.

The above are the three modules I choose a to do list (to prevent me from procrastinating), training of the week so I can keep up with my exercise routine and idea of the week/goals or art module for when I have a sudden burst of inspiration come over me and I need somewhere to quickly write or draw it. I also selected the work hours box which is placed on each day, this helps me stay on track with the amount of hours I have worked during that week.

I had to add these pictures of the super cute emoticons placed on particular holidays throughout the planner, these are some of my favourites! You can also see the design theme I selected which is a gorgeous pattern of a abstract love heart and swirls.

The blank pages I decided on going with the overview of 2013 and 2014, I like being able to see all of the days in a month, what dates fall on what day and I also like writing birthdays or certain events on calendars such as this one.

As some of you know I have wanderlust and I mean extreme wanderlust so what better way to show that and add to it by placing maps of all the continents in my last few blank pages towards the end of my planner.

I must say it fits perfectly in my room especially the place where I blog!

Thank you to Modern Girls in Vintage Pearls and Personal-Planner for not only doing a fantastic giveaway but for allowing me to create such a wonderful and gorgeous planner. I definitely will be coming back in the near future to create another one either for myself or as a gift!
