Up nice and early on Saturday morning and I mean early 3:30am early *sighs* to board the plane waiting for me at the Gold Coast airport. I think if I didn't know a plane was waiting for me I wouldn't have been as eager to jump straight out to bed and get ready. The sky a light shade of blue with wispy clouds that the plane danced through welcomed us into the sky for a incredibly short plane ride (a walk in the park compared to my Brisbane to London adventure) An hour and a half later the sight of the Sydney harbour bridge and the Opera House stood out against the royal blue backdrop the harbour and Circular Quay. An overwhelming feeling swept over me, that indescribable sense of arriving at a destination and it is now time to explore and find all the hidden gems within it; True wanderlust I say!

Two days is simply not enough to take in all of what Sydney has to offer - But of course I made the most of it. Arriving in the hustle and bustle of Sydney airport in the early hours on Saturday morning welcomed by stunning weather with not a cloud in the sky (truly Australian weather I dare say) We headed to the Novotel on Darling Harbour, a nice 10 minute walk with a few turns here - Once you reach Louis Vuitton you then turn right and keep walking straight where you will then see Topshop. The window displays call out your name and you can't help but dash in quickly to discover the items that await you. The day was spent strolling around Pitt Street mall where I bought some delightful items (a haul post will be coming very shortly!) Night fell across the Sydney sky where the stars came out to play and the fireworks soon lit up the sky.
The final day soon crept in and I of course was bitter that this very short stay in Sydney was coming to an end. A walk from our hotel, several turns later while admiring the gorgeous Sydney architecture with the modern mixed with the old opulent buildings then opened up to non other then Circular Quay. To the right the Opera house stands tall like sails on a sailing boat, the sun reflects of the crisp white curves leaving a slight reflection against the harbours ocean and then to the left dwarfing the harbour and the surrounds but yet remaining elegant with the curvature, the Sydney harbour bridge.
I oh so wish I had a lot longer to explore the streets of Sydney and the surrounding suburbs but of course being only an hour and a half plane ride away from the Gold Coast I defiantly think regular trips will be happening!
